Corundum is the same mineral that rubies and sapphires are. When the pieces are totally opaque and only have a hint of pink, they aren’t considered rubies and are referred to as corundum.

These pink beauties are a bright happy slightly magenta pink with a pretty mystic sheen that makes them really shimmer. I normally don’t like to choose stones with any type of synthetic treatment, but make exceptions for certain mystic treated stones because they are just so pretty and the shimmer highlights the natural color vs. detracting from it.
